Explore the rugged beauty of Mt. Satima, Kenya’s 3rd tallest mountain at around 4,000m ASL, and its striking neighbor, the Dragon’s Teeth – a collection of sharp volcanic rocks rising dramatically from the misty moorlands of the Northern Aberdares. Join us for a scenic adventure through this captivating landscape.

Itinerary Overview:

We’ll kick off with an early morning departure, heading north from Nairobi. After passing Nyeri, we turn towards the mountains, where the road gradually climbs. As we ascend, the lush tropical rainforest transitions to unique moorland vegetation. Reaching an altitude of 3,450m at Twin Peaks, we’ll start our 12km hike. Along the trail, you’ll witness some of Kenya’s most stunning rock formations: the Lost Pyramid, Muirs Massive, Weathering Heights, Devil’s Sword, Theater of Heaven, and the iconic Dragon’s Teeth.

After a brief rest, we’ll trek eastward towards the high ridges, reaching the summit of Mt.Satima in the late afternoon. We then descend to our starting point and head back to Nairobi, marking the end of this unforgettable adventure.
